Earth Day was practically Halloween at my elementary school as a day all the kids looked forward to. We learned all sorts of things and watched cool Earth Day demonstrations. One of them was seeing giant stacks of paper some volunteers would use to eventually form a tree. "It took 30 trees worth of newspaper to make this one paper tree," my teacher said. I took reducing, reusing, and recycling very seriously from that point on. During high school I joined the art club were we met weekly to do random artsy projects. One of them was paper making. And the rest as they say is history.
