My cousin is a professional photographer. I have a Canon point and shoot similar to your Nikon that I let him borrow (his professional camera is an expensive, sensitive baby). I found that my memory card was filled with beautiful photos from his day…
I had some spare handmade paper and ink so I decided to put them both to good use. I'm going to be putting this up for sale sometime this week.
I usually upload example pictures on a free image hosting site like Imageshack or Photobucket or flickr. Other times I point them to Etsy listings that demonstrate my skills and things like that.
Thanks for extending it, or I wouldn't have been able to enter.
Giveaways and other promotions should be like a Panic button: Used rarely and only when necessary.
Advantage: Lots of new customers come look at your stuff.
Disadvantage: Do it too often and people will not buy anything 'til you have another giveaw…

- My grandma would tell me that there was always one artist for each generation of my family. It was like she knew I was the one that would put crayon to paper (and walls).
As a Californian I'll be the first to tell you that we've been on the Green-Eco-Friendly-Local-Organic-Planet-Conscious train decades before it became a national phenomenon. Earth Day was practically Halloween at my elementary school as a day all the kids looked forward to. We learned all sorts of things and watched cool Earth Day demonstrations. One of them was seeing giant stacks of paper some volunteers would use to eventually form a tree. "It took 30 trees worth of newspaper to make this one paper tree," my teacher said. I took reducing, reusing, and recycling very seriously from that point on. During high school I joined the art club were we met weekly to do random artsy projects. One of them was paper making. And the rest as they say is history.
