I don't think you need 100 fans anymore to get the shop name. Of course, I learned this and got my shop's name at 99 fans. Heh. Go figure!
I'm doing ok with it. I'm at about 105 fans right now. I primarily use it to upload item photos, make mentions of my "fun finds", post links to treasuries that any of my items are in, etc. I have my fan page set up so that my posts are fed to my T...
I know what you mean about the scraps. :P I use what I can for panels, tags, and die cut shapes. After that, they really do become scraps!

- Hello everyone! I've recently joined Etsy and have loved it so far! I live in Manhattan, KS with my awesome hubby, Russ, and our four-legged kid, Blaster, a Bluetick Coonhound we adopted in April of 2008.
I become devoted to making paper goods less than a year and a half ago, when I made the stationery for my wedding, although my fascination with paper began long before that. I used to work at an area college bookstore where, for the first time in my life, I saw a wall of handmade paper. Hosho, washi, lokta, marbled papers, you name it. I began buying up paper because it was so beautiful, but then I never knew what to do with it. Soon after, I began taking art instruction and I began to work with the paper casually.
Of course, after Russ proposed to me last year, our wedding planning began. I was that bride who didn't like any stationery I saw, so I eventually concluded that I would have to make my own. I spent the next several months making Save the Dates, invitations, escort cards, place cards, and the programs. It was a lot of work, but well worth it.
After my wedding was over and done, I continued to make greeting cards. I found it quite enjoyable. In April 2009, I left my job to make cards full time. Just very recently, I've dived back into using handmade papers. I've enjoyed the journey so far and look forward to growing creatively!

I Know That Craft Show Time Is Near When . . .
• There's blood in my soda stream
• My iPod gets a better workout than I do
• Sleep is optional
• My re-inkers are emptier than my gas tank

The Luckiest Week EVER & Excitement in General
I'm apparently doing something right when it comes to tags.
I was ecstatic to learn that I was in a treasury last week. It actually expired today when I received yet another notice that I was in another treasury. WOW!!!! Cool!
