About Me:

I am a papermaker! I love making paper! :)

I made my first batch of paper the night before my daughter was born. The house was spotless and I needed something to do. I had saved a newspaper article about making paper and had already purchased a kit, I just hadn't made anything with it until then. The paper came out really thick, like cardboard. I still have those first sheets of paper...

I also enjoy making cards. I have been making and selling Christmas cards for 3 years. I enjoy making other cards as well. It's fun to play with different papers and bring them together as a card.

Getting Settled

Well, most of the boxes are empty and we can finally walk around most of the house without tripping over something (the exceptions are my studio and my daughter's room - LOL).
I was able to get a few things put away in my studio. I found my mould and deckle and I am so ready to make some paper! I just need to find my plexiglass sheets so I'll have a place to put my newly made sheets. :)

On the Road Again...

We are officially out of the house! Yeah! I turned in the keys this afternoon. We spent the day cleaning the house. I am so tired. We will be on the road in the morning.
I'll see y'all in a few days! I can't wait to get some paper made! LOL!!!

Two more weeks!

The movers will be here on the 23rd, 24th and 25th! Yikes! So, in 2 weeks I will be cleaning the heck out of this house and then turning in the keys... :)
I've been working in the house, cleaning out closets and the garage, taking out tons of trash and so on. Today, I think I will make some paper. I have some pulp I need to use up. It sure would be nice to do something relaxing today.
I am very excited about getting into the new house though! :)

Getting ready to move

My Husband (a Marine) has been given orders and we are moving to Jacksonville NC at the end of February. 27 days and counting!!! Moving is always so difficult. The hardest thing with this move is that I had a great job and made some even greater friends. But, I am excited because the house we are buying has enough rooms that I can have my own ART STUDIO!!! Yeah!!!
However, before we get moved, I have to clean and purge this house. We have too much stuff! LOL
